The year round population of Sedona is around 10,000 residents. However, because of the exquisite beauty of the red rocks and mild climate, Sedona can attract anywhere between 2 million to 4 million visitors each year. Sedona is one of the most beautiful attractions in the world, and remains a thriving tourist destination.

The City of Sedona must account for all of these visitors, and make way for more, as Sedona continues to grow as both residentially and as a major tourist hub. One manner in which accommodations are taking place is in the expansion of roadways and interstate that are in and around Sedona.
I-17 has become a large thoroughfare. Highway 89A and and Highway 170 are largely two lane highways, with one lane in each direction. Moreover, there are very few stop lights in these communities, leading to a high amount of merging cross traffic. Certainly, our office wants to do what we can to make these roadways safer for these communities.
