Transactions and Litigation
Our office has been involved in numerous real estate purchase arrangements. While some matters are simple, others have complications or difficulties that arise, and our office is able to help solve those problems. Additionally, commercial real estate transactions often involve unique agreements, particularly land use conveyances. In such circumstances, it is better to have an attorney involved in preparation of specific contracts, before problems arise. Our office is able to assist with commercial and residential real estate purchase agreements.
Business and Residential Leases
Our office has extensive experience with lease arrangements. We have drafted both commercial and residential lease agreements. We are familiar with the terms that often become problematic, and we know how to avoid potential difficulties. We are also experienced in the enforcement of lease agreements, both on behalf of landlords and tenants. We are experienced in enforcement of lease terms by a tenant, and we are experienced in handling of evictions and commercial lockouts.
Boundary and Easement Disputes
Our office is also experienced in areas of enforcement of real estate matters, including boundary disputes and restrictive covenants. We have often spoken with home owners who are faced with a survey that does not match fence lines. In those situations, there are often methods by which the fence line can become the property boundary, regardless of any survey. Additionally, we have been faced with land use disputes, zoning issues, and requests for variances which require handling of the matter through a city or town council, or a county board of supervisors. Our experience in such matters, and our constructive relationship with municipalities, often helps us to obtain a fair and appropriate result.
