resolving disputes before they go to court

Mediation Information

What is a mediation?

A mediation is an opportunity to resolve a dispute by mutual consent. The mediator, an experienced attorney, facilitates the dialogue necessary to settle your conflict. While the parties might be kept together, often the mediator will place the parties in separate rooms and the mediator attempts to negotiate a workable compromise.

The advantage to mediation is the existence of a formal agreement that settles your court case, or prevents you from going to court. While the agreement is negotiated completely, it must be agreed upon by all parties involved. The agreement is then binding and final.

What issues can be mediated?

Any issues can be mediated. There is no restriction on the mediator's ability to try to resolve any issue in dispute.
